Primary Performers -
The Secrets of Successful Schools

Primary PerformersA one day event with Alistair Smith and several High Performing schools. Alistair visited high performing Primary Schools in England to discover what makes them exceptional. Join us to share the findings for the first time.

You will benefit from:
  • Ten things which make High Performing Primary Schools exceptional
  • Guidance focused on learning and teaching from three of the schools
  • Assessing your own school and planning your own use of the recommended strategies using the Primary Performers toolkit
  • Practical strategies for improving learning and teaching across your school
  • How to progress towards Outstanding and Beyond

Your Primary Performers:

Heidi Johnson-Paul, Head Teacher, Hampton Wick Infants: "I can, you can, we can." Heidi will talk about her school's journey and what she and her team do to provide a positive 'can-do' approach.

"Outstanding teaching, reflecting leaders and managers rigorous monitoring of the quality of teaching and learning… the curriculum has an outstanding focus on basic literacy and numeracy and provides exciting enrichment activities."
Hampton Wick Infants, OFSTED 2010

Alison Peacock, Head Teacher, The Wroxham School: "Learning without limits." Alison describes how she used personalised learning to tackle "a culture of apathy and anger" in which staff felt disenfranchised and children were demotivated. The school moved from special measures to 'outstanding.' Wroxham is renowned for its creative and pupil centred approach

Julie Bradley, Head Teacher, Padiham St Leonards and The Futures Learning Trust, Burnley: "transforming lives through learning." Julie describes how she sustains her schools unique vision of learning and its impact on the community beyond. Her school was one of the first primary schools to create its own learning trust in partnership with three others.
